Dave Baker, chief executive of Robust Details Ltd, has been awarded an OBE for services to the construction industry.
The award was received by Baker in the New Year’s honour list for his work towards improving the sound insulation performance of new homes. He has been undertaking this improvement since 2004. The highly unique method used to help improve sound installation performance has since been applied to more than half a million new homes to achieve Part E of Building Regulations compliance.
Dave Baker said: “I am very honoured to receive this award. It’s fantastic to have my 30-odd years in the construction industry recognised in this way.
"The award isn't just for me, it’s for all the people I’ve worked with over the years, especially in the development of Robust Details and, most of all, my tremendously supportive wife, Rachel.”
