The Home Builders Federation has said that the Government should "dare to be radical" if it wants to continue it's project of kick-starting house building in the UK.

The Home Builders Federation said that while the UK's government had introduced some positive steps the number of house builders has remained critically low and planning permissions have continued to drop.

The HBF has stated that urgent action needs to be taken and has noted what they feel the government needs to be doing:

- Working with lenders to make NewBuy mortgages more widely available and affordable
- Ensuring that financial demands by local authorities do not render sites unviable
- Removing unnecessary planning obstacles, such as long lists of planning conditions
- Expanding and increasing the flexibility of the Get Britain Building scheme

“This is a critical opportunity for the government to demonstrate once again its commitment to increase housing supply and boost the economy, said Stewart Baseley, HBF’s executive chairman. “To drive through real change, increase housing supply and reap the social and economic benefits of more new homes, ministers need to dare to be radical.”

The Benfield ATT Group understand the difficulties surrounding the UK's housing market but feel that more needs to be done and quickly. Therefore should you have a project which requires quick results our Fast Frame System can help get your project up and running in a short space of time.
